Hello from Kerry, Founder

"Hello - I’m Kerry, and I started Thread CIC to create a space where young people feel seen, supported, and inspired.

Too often, families are left without real options when schools can’t meet their child’s needs. Thread is about building confidence, resilience, and belief – helping every young person unlock their skills and potential.

At its heart, Thread is for the community. It’s a place where young people, families, and neighbours can come together to learn, create, and celebrate. I believe creativity changes lives – and everyone should have the chance to be part of it."

— Kerry Thorpe, Founder of Thread CIC
