About Us

Who We Are
Thread CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Nidderdale, founded with a simple mission: to make creativity accessible to everyone. We believe the arts are more than just a hobby – they’re a pathway to confidence, resilience, wellbeing, and belonging.

We run private sessions, group learning, community workshops, and children’s parties – all designed to connect people through creativity. Our sessions are led by experienced teachers and facilitators who understand how powerful creative practice can be for both skill-building and personal growth.

Our Approach

Inclusive: We welcome children, young people, and adults of all abilities.

Supportive: Sessions can be tailored to individual needs, with particular strength in supporting SEN and wellbeing.

Creative: From fine art to photography, sewing to podcasting – we believe in learning through doing.

Community-Driven: We work with local schools, groups, and artists to share skills and celebrate creativity across generations.

Coming Soon
We’re working with North Yorkshire Council to launch Alternative Provision, supporting young people who struggle in mainstream education. More details will follow soon.
